Karan Casey and John Doyle first came to international prominence as founding members and the heart and soul of the influential Irish/Irish American band Solas, which won NAIRD awards for their first three albums and a Grammy nomination. Five critically acclaimed CDs into her solo career, Casey is widely regarded as one of Ireland's greatest singers. Twice voted 'Best Female Traditional/Folk Artist' by Irish Music Magazine readers, the Wall Street Journal hailed her as 'One of hte true glories of Irish music today' and the Associated Press raved Karan has 'A voice so beautiful it's almost impossible to avoid falling under her spell.'
