Karen Fletcher In the Rounds: 20th Annual Women of Wisdom Conference
Qigong ~ A Simple Life Science
Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is a Chinese system of breath, meditation and movement that develops our physical, energetic and spiritual anatomies. Through daily practice we cultivate good health and aliveness and also develop our innate healing and wisdom potential as humans. In this class you will learn simple yet profound tools to immediately increase your energy and vitality. Karen will also share tips and resources for bringing your training back outdoors where an abundance of harmonic life force can flood your being. Simple techniques guide effective cleansing, gathering and absorption of these vital energies.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Karen Fletcher, MPH, is a certified qigong teacher and personal student of Grandmaster Xu Mingtang, who is the lineage holder of ZY Qigong, a self-development system steeped in Buddhism, Daoism and Shamanism. She has trained with Grandmaster Xu at Shaolin monastery in China and traveled worldwide as his assistant. Karen is also the founding President of ZY Qigong non-profit, a student of and interpreter for Master Chinese doctor, Dr. Zhao Fuxue, and an applicant for the upcoming 2012-13 Fulbright Scholarship to study in China for 1 year. She teaches weekly classes, is the innovator of QiDancing and founder of a bi-monthly family dance jam, and she leads Qigong & Wilderness day hikes and backpack adventures in the Pacific Northwest. www.qidancing.com
