Fernando Trueba (Calle 54, El Milagro de Candeal) and Javier Mariscal have created an "epic animated love story" in Chico & Riita. Set in 1948 Havana, Chico and Rita move between the Cuban capital and Manhattan. He's a very good pianist and she's a singer. They fall in love with each other. We discover their torrid love affair as it unfolds together with the colorful life of Afro-Cuban music scenes in Havana and Manhattan. Jazz, Rumba, Cha-cha-cha, and bolero as well as the exquisite animation make Chico & Rita an unforgettable film.
