WALLICH/HANKINS
Seattle based choreographers Allie Hankins and Kate Wallich will be producing a split bill evening of two new dance works to be installed at Velocity Dance Center November 18th and 19th of 2011. As two emerging voices in the Seattle dance scene, Hankin's and Wallich's work is rooted in the human psyche, displaying a synthesis of early modern emotionality and post-modern abstraction. With collaboration from sound designer Lena Simon, Lighting Designer Derek Ghromley, Costume Designers Mark Ferrin & Lucy Greene, and Concept Designer Lavinia Vago, Hankins & Wallich will produce an evening of dance based work that challenges the expectations of technical movement by culminating the raw physicality of innovative and progressive movement.
