Class Actress, Dearling Physique and TIGER VS.
From roaming the coffee house scene in Brooklyn to headlining shows across the country, Class Actress's front-woman Elizabeth Harper has come a long way. Her chillwave electro-pop sound can be described as a cross between the '80s synth pop of Depeche Mode and the liveliness and raw sexuality of Madonna. After playing acoustic guitar locally in Brooklyn, Harper met up with producers Scott Rosenthal and Mark Richardson to construct the pop '80s sound it is today. Class Actress's first EP Journal of Ardency, was released in 2010 with critical acclaim from Spin Magazine, the New York Post, and Pitchfork. With the release date of Class Actress's first full-length album, entitled Rapprocher, is slated to be released on October 18.
Dearling Physique is an electro-pop and soul band made up of writer and performance artist Domino Davis and guitarist Matt Vannelli. With two EP releases under their belt, Dearling Physique released their first full-length album Deadeye Dealer earlier this year. Their shows add a visual element, providing audiences abstract visual tapestries to accompany with their unique fusion of sounds.
A local indie electro-pop band from Minneapolis, TIGER VS. provides a fresh sound to the Minneapolis music scene. Bandmates Ranelle Johnson, John Acarregui, and Addison Wasson have played together at various local venues here in Minneapolis.
