Dog Days Country Music Fest
Presenting an evening full of the most amazing musicians and song writers right in little 'ol Abbotsford. Featuring two hours of sweet sounds from these 4 bands:
Plans & Disguises Dylan Weightman and Brendan Woodroff, both formerly of Pardon My Striptease come together to present fresh new musical stylings. This duo has just released 3 new songs available on Soundcloud for download now.
Andrew Christopher Andrew's repertoire has been described as a "truly eclectic mix of contemporary songs" ranging from Tim McGraw to Eminem. His original songs have heavy emphasis on lyrics and the guitar accompaniment is perfectly married with the tranquillity of his voice. His energetic and often humorous live shows, along with a Rock 'n' Roll attitude, intrigues fans to stick around after just one listen. Andrew's charm and sincerity as a person has kept them coming back for more.
Danielle Marie Heavily influenced by contemporary artists like Ed Sheeran and Adele, Danielle released her first EP in July 2013. While the folk/alt-folk offering attracted much attention and even hit the #1 local spot on ReverbNation she was convinced that musically, there was more. A month later she headed to Nashville with 5 songs in hand, and recorded a full album, 'More Than Just A Girl', and her first music video. Making a video also gave Danielle a chance to indulge her other but equally compelling love: acting. Within 24 hours of posting her controversial video 'Mad Kicks', it reached over 10,000 YouTube plays no mean feat for a new artist.
Sons of Daughters Though Sons of Daughters are a relatively new project, these two are no strangers to the music world. Chrystal Leigh was previously signed to 604 Records/Universal as the front woman for Dave Ogilvie's (NIN/Marilyn Manson/Skinny Puppy) pop-industrial project "Jakalope". Jimmy Thow has not only fronted many different bands in various genres of music, but he has gained mainstream notoriety as an in demand songwriter, having recently written for Canada's top country charter Rod Black and Vancouver's pop band Faber Drive (604 Records/Warner).Sons of Daughters add a southern soul and musicality to today's country/americana scene and will continue to make waves as they spread "Pick Your Poison" across the nation. Look out for this duo as they visit your city, this is a band you won't want to miss and one you will never forget.
