No, But Seriously
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas in a family that relocated from New York City. "I was conceived a Yankee, but born a Texan" Mitch says his show, NO, BUT SERIOUSLY. Mitch West started making films at the age of 10. He never met a microphone he didn't like. After graduating from DeSoto High School in 1992, Mitch enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Ft.Bragg, North Carolina and served with the 82nd Airborne Division in Army Special Operations. During his tour of duty, West oversaw the creation of Division News Network and served an anchor and correspondent. This position would take him around the around the world. After his service in in the military, West returned home to Dallas, but would quickly find a new home in Abilene, Texas, and Hardin-Simmons University. Graduating at the top of class in Communication in spring of 1999, Mitch West moved to Austin, Texas where he would work as a director and producer in news. Mitch decided to move out of news production and into sales by 2001. He moved back to Dallas and worked with Comcast Spotlight, Belo Corp, and Fox Network. Mitch loves to write, direct and produce films as well as a few turns acting. Mitch also does voice over work for various advertisers in North Texas. You can see him perform at the Dallas Comedy House with his Improv Group or in his one-person show.
