West Valley Light Opera as part of our 43rd season presents "Damn Yankees.
"Damn Yankees" follows a passionate baseball fan's heartfelt swinging journey to the boundaries of his soul. Given a devilish chance to help his team win the pennant, he faces his toughest choice.
A home-run hit on Broadway, the musical won 8 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and boasts a clever book and rousing score. It's sure to delight with songs like "Heart", "Whatever Lola Wants" and "Two Lost Souls".
A pennant winner if there ever was one!
This musical is based on a novel by Douglass Wallop, "The Year The Yankees Lost The Pennant" and opened on Broadway in 1955, starring Gwen Verdon, Ray Walston and Jean Stapleton.
