Drawing People to Neighborhood Shopping Districts & Creating Value
Mary Bosch, Principal, Marketek,
Economic Development and Consulting Planner

Mary is highly experienced with the Main Street approach and every facet of the economic development process from the perspective of the small business owner to the developer to the downtown development professional. In the downtown development arena, Mary has conducted business and economic development assignments for over 170 communities throughout the United States on market analysis, business retention and recruitment programming, niche marketing and cluster planning.

During this lecture, Mary will discuss creating a vision and identity that will draw people to neighborhood centers. She will cover the elements of a vital business district, citing examples of where things are progressing in the right direction. Mary will tie it back around to specific areas in Bend and what each is trying to accomplish with recommendations for next steps.
