The Greenhorns Lunch, Film Screening & Panel Discussion
Come one, come all! Please join us as we celebrate WI's young farmers. We'll explore the national young farming movement and discuss the opportunities and challenges that young farmers face here in our region.
The Greenhorns is a documentary film that explores the lives of America's young farming community - it's spirit, practices and needs.
The event will kick off at 12 p.m. with a local, sustainable and organic lunch prepared by Slow Food UW and Chef Dan Fox at The Crossing (1127 University Ave.). Then at 1:30 p.m., we'll watch The Greenhorns film and enjoy a dynamic panel discussion at The Marquee at Union South (1308 W. Dayton St., 2nd Floor, walking distance from The Crossing).
Lunch is $5.00, and the film and panel discussion are FREE. Advance purchase of lunch tickets are required and can be purchased here. And you can RSVP for the free film and panel discussion here too.
This event is hosted by Edible Madison, Slow Food UW, Slow Food Madison and WUD Film Committee. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to The Land Stewardship Project's Farm Beginnings initiative.
