CABARET des ARTISTES Presents "IN THE WORKS" 3 SINGERS, 3 STYLES, 3 SETS
Date: Thursday, September 22nd Time: Doors open at 7:30 for dessert and coffee; show starts at 8:00pm. Place: The venue is the Garden Pavilion at the Celebrity Centre International in Hollywood. A stunning glass pavilion with state-of-the-art sound system Address: 5930 Franklin Blvd, Hollywood (corner of Franklin and Bronson - look for the French Chateau) Free valet parking on Bronson What: 3 professional singers, 3 distinct styles, 3 separate sets. Jack Armstrong actor/host Award-winning writer for his work on award-winning short Crises dela Commode, as an actor he has starred in daytime television shows All My Children, One Life to Life and Days of Our Lives. Films include 28 Days with Sandra Bullock, Mi Amigo with Josh Holloway, The Guyver with Mark Hamill and the Sci-Fi cult film Student Bodies. In primetime, he has guest starred in Beverly Hills 90210, Friends, and Oh Baby! to name a few. He will be our emcee for the evening!
Ross Kalling award-winning pianist/musical director - as musical director of FATE's productions of Marat/Sade and Threepenny Opera he won two Dramalogue awards. He was the pianist and musical director for the revival of Liz Swados' Nightclub Cantata at the Odyssey Theatre and produced the song It Don't Make a Difference in the Dark for the movie Relative Strangers starring Danny DeVito and Kathy Bates. He is also the founding director of Music Curriculum at the Academy for New Musical Theatre.
Kelly Meyersfield multi-talented singer/actress - she just came off of a fantastic run of a new play she wrote, produced and starred in entitled Loose, a collection of vignettes about love, lust and loss. She has produced and performed in various plays, musicals, web series, films and commercials. Most recently she has been seen touring the country in her original two-person show, College The Musical: A Musical About College, with her spectacular husband, comedian Evan Wecksell. She is currently working on her solo cabaret show.
Jule Michel - multi-talented artist Los Angeles jazz cabaret singer, producer and founder of Cabaret des Artistes, has also performed in various musical productions including Carousel and Oklahoma. She initially studied modern dance with members of the Martha Graham Company. As a sculptor, she has exhibited in Los Angeles, New York City, Scottsdale and internationally in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the Biennale Internazionale Dell'Arte Contemporanea Di Firenze in Florence, Italy and as far away as Osaka, Japan. As a singer, she has recently performed at The Golden Age Theater in Hollywood and is currently working on her solo cabaret show.
Shari Rhone - multi-talented artist an original cast member of the Los Angeles production of The Lion King where she was a swing for 11 singers and dancers, and understudied the role of Sarabi. She has danced as a soloist with the Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and Lulu Washington Dance Theatre, and has toured internationally as a soloist with the Heritage Chorale. She currently sings with a number of different bands in Los Angeles as well as dancing for Jazz Antique Dance and Music Ensemble. She is currently working on her solo cabaret show.
