"The Meadow" nominated for Best Cinematography -We all know it, we all love it - the breathtaking flower meadow. This ocean of colors and fragile shapes offers a home, a genuine paradise, to countless species of animals. Some live underground, some among the blades of grass, still others populate the colourful canopy.

"The Curse of Copper" nominated for Best Environmental Program - A Canadian Mining Company is in the process of obtaining the rights to mine copper in one of the worlds biological hotspots a pristine cloud forest in the heart of the Andes Mountains of Ecuador. Local communities strongly oppose the mine as it will ruin their
livelihoods and destroy their environment, which is home to many endangered species.

The mining company is ignoring their heart-felt pleas and pushing forward with the project, with disastrous consequences.
