AIN Bay Area - Oct 2011 One-day Conference
The AIN 2011 International Conference in Baltimore was a big success, and had several Bay Area presenters. We are going to take advantage of that and have a one-day conference and bring back a taste of that to the Bay Area for all of the people who did not make it.
This will be a 9-4 conference on Oct 21st and anyone is invited to join. We will be bringing in lunch and have a full day Open Space program.
If you have not been to an Open Space meeting before, they are an exciting way to give you only what you are looking for at a conference, it's like a customized conference.
Here is the description from the Baltimore Conference on Open Space:

A brief overview of Open Space from WikiPedia:
Open Space Technology (OST) is a highly scalable and adaptable approach for hosting meetings, conferences, corporate-style retreats, and community summit events.
The Open Space approach is a fun and effective way to harness and acknowledge the power of self-organization. Facilitators are ideally "fully present and totally invisible" holding a space for participants to self-organize, rather than managing or directing the conversations. OST has been used in meetings of 5 to 2,000 people.
