Come dressed in your Halloween finery and enter the Costume Contest! Enjoy all kinds of yummy local foods, Halloween treats and games, as well as an eclectic array of booths, curios, local art and crafts. Check out the fire dancing (in the outdoor plaza) and dance to an awesome array of music by some of Sonoma's County's favorite bands!
This family-friendly event is a benefit for KOWS community radio in Occidental, a non-profit all volunteer, community radio station with 55+ hosts, broadcasting on 107.3 FM, and streaming 24/7 at www.kows.fm.
KOWS began broadcasting in May 2007 and features an eclectic blend of recorded and in-studio live music, discussion and public affairs showsthat together provide the West Sonoma County community with a public vehicle for expressing freedom of speech while serving as our community's emergency broadcast station. KOWS is a clear-channel free zone! All profits raised from the event go to keeping its unique local programming on the air and a special fund for the new broadcasting tower necessary to reach a wider audience. So come celebrate Halloween in Occidental from 6pm to 1pm at the Occidental YMCA Community Center on Saturday, October 29th. Support FREE SPEEECH RADIO!!!
