If you have trouble picturing life without your cell phone, your iPod, and your daily fix of gourmet coffee, imagine how hard it was for author Judith Levine to go a full year without buying anything but the basics. Freegans, dumpster-divers, and starving students unite for this free (of course!) event in which Levine will talk about her experiment in retail self-deprivation and read from her memoir "Not Buying It."
