The Rendezvous
The Rendezvous is one of NYC's hottest monthly events featuring live performances from some of the most talented independent artists in the music industry.
The next edition of The Rendezvous features a listening party for the new cd "Lifesize Mirror" from Purpose Music Group artist Monet.
Then we'll have live performances from:
Esjae The Entertainer
Esjae (pronounced es-jey), a rising star in New York City and beyond, is steadfastly leaving his mark on the stage
and in the recording booth. Having performed background vocals for such musicians as Nona Hendrix, Bridget
Barkan, Steve Wallace, Dominique Elise, and The Day Show, Esjae is now ready to step into the forefront as a solo
recording artist. His self titled debut EP is now available and showcases the sound his growing fan base craves:
pop-inuenced R&B with a hint of alternative grit.
Walter Christopher
Few performers are as versatile a Singer/Songwriter as Walter Christopher. Mr. Christopher can slide effortlessly from playing an R&B gig to a sanctified gospel church to a swinging jazz club. A Harlem native, Walter is affectionately known by his fans, as "Walt Chris." He is well respected for his performance skills and trademark vocals. Walter has opened for LL Cool J, Kem, Lyfe Jennings, Vivian Green, Oleta Adams, En Vogue, Destiny's Child, Fat Joe, Diahann Carroll, Boys II Men, Keith Sweat, Kenny Lattimore, Allyson Williams, Mikki Howard, Jon Lucien, Marion Meadows, Donald Harrison, Dietra Hicks and many others.
His amazing talents have taken him on many tours nationally and internationally. Walt's signature vocals have also been showcased on several TV and Radio Commercials. He was featured on the HBO special "Back in Da Hood," where he co-wrote, performed and produced the song "Yesterday." One listen to Walter Christopher and you will hear the voice of a legend. He is a Balladeer by choice and sings and writes with the soul that has been missing in today's music.

With urban beats and live instrumentation, Mike Hammond presents an eclectic mix of R&B flavors ranging from hip-hop to classic R&B inspired grooves.
Through the years, Mike has toured the U.S. and Europe extensively and has had the opportunity to share the stage with Gladys Knight, Billy Joel and Patti Labelle. His travels have taken him to the Caribbean and even to Africa to perform for the Royal family of Morocco. He has opened shows for Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Jennifer Holiday, Cathy Sledge of Sister Sledge and Diana Ross. He has also recorded with 50 Cent, Incognito, DJ Roger S and the late great Jam Master Jay just to name a few.
All of these talented artists will be backed by The Stellar Rendezvous House Band, Heshima Moja & Souljourn.

The Rendezvous as always takes place at Shrine World Music Venue at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. bet. 133rd & 134th Street in Harlem, NYC. Doors open at 7PM. Listening Party takes place from 7:30 -8:30PM. Performances begin at 8:30PM. Admission is $10.00.
