| Description |
This powerful new film takes an unflinching look at life on the edge of death. "One of those rare documentaries...that truly communicates not only to our minds, but even more to the heart and soul of us, an eternal verity about the world," writes Carolyn North, author of "Death: the Experience of a Lifetime". "Death is not an easy subject to talk about in a way that does not strike fear and dread, but this film does it."
Stunned by the loss of both her parents and by the lack of cultural dialogue, Dr. Peticolas, a teacher, sociologist and long-time student of Sufism, turns the camera on herself and a few wise souls. Writer and lecturer Ram Dass, Buddhist author Rick Fields, collage artist Robin Inman, and AIDS patient Tighe Foley share their journeys of living with dying.
The filmmaker will be present following the film for questions and discussion.
