Patience Worth
PATIENCE WORTH (inspired by a true story) is a company commission of a world premier play by Pen and Garland award winning Bay Area playwright Michelle Carter. In July 1913, a 17th-century spirit named Patience Worth made her first appearance via ouija board to Pearl Curran, a St. Louis housewife. In the 25 years that followed, Patience Worth would purportedly dictate nearly four million words: seven full-length novels, numerous short stories and plays, thousands of poems, and nine volumes of conversations with hundreds of visitors. Come join us for this collaboration between playwright Michelle Carter and  director/choreographer Erika Chong Shuch as we explore this literary mystery!
