Sprint Boat Race - National Finals
Sprint Boat racing originated in Australia & New Zealand. It moved to the US about 10 years ago. It is a fast paced race against the clock through a maze of channels. The pattern through the maze is revealed the night before the race to give racers equal footing. The boats are organized in 3 classes and reach speeds up to 100mph!
After the gates open, the qualifying starts at 10am giving each boat 4 chances to qualify (complete the maze in the right pattern) and improve their time. The afternoon race takes the top 8 boats in each of the 3 classes to compete for the checkered flag.
Kids 6 and under are free.
Onsite camping is available starting Thursday afternoon for $15. Unfortunately, you are not able to view the action of the race from the camping location.
