The story of a band of traveling players  trying to maintain their humanity in a post-apocalyptic world is told in song and dance a well as in drama and comedy! The actors maintained a high level of energy throughout the production and had extremely creative casting... Loved the tap dancing, a lost art form with many of the actors being musicians who played their instruments on stage, including the musical saw! R.J. Romero also used imaginative lighting and video in the show. I just loved the show and drove all the way from LA to see it, and it was very rewarding and well worth the drive!  -Devai Pearce, Los Angeles

Blank Slate is a tense, emotional journey.  Terse, jarring, even awkward at times, it is precisely why we go to the live theater.  These performers yank you out of your comfortable world where "everything is going to be okay," and compel you to join them in a world where the loss of humanity is a palpable event.  An intimate performance, you will be touched by their vulnerability, disarmed by their humor, and even shocked by their brutality.  A story about hope and the human condition in the bleakest of times.  A courageous performance by first-time actors, great original music.  Not to be missed.

What can I say about Blank Slate?  Stunning. The show was amazing fun. :)  The band of storytellers pulled me in with their stories, their humor, dance, song and overall beautiful performance. I was not expecting it to be so intense.  Even after the show It got me thinking about myself. What I am doing with my life, and what is going on in my current surroundings. I loved the show and I eagerly await more.

The OC Register had a mixed, but fair review of Blank Slate. Here are the positive highlights:

"Blank Slate" works as a showcase for the considerable musical talents of various ensemble members"

"whimsical, off-the-cuff improvising"

"the many cast-wide songs are among the show's finest moments"

"a viable starting point for a hybrid of artistic talent"
