Summer Fruit Tree Pruning
Bradner Gardens Seattle, WA
Late summer is a great time to prune fruit trees. Their growth has slowed, so pruning doesn't result in emphatic new growth. Bill Wanless, owner of brooke/wanless gardens, specializes in pruning small trees and shrubs. He will lecture on basic principles of summer pruning and provide a hands-on demonstration on pruning apple, plums and espalier. City Fruit offers classes on fruit tree care throughout the year.
