Important and innovative sustainability projects are developing all over the Berkeley, stemming from every sector. Yet so many people are unaware of the scope and variety. The Ecology Center figured it would benefit all our efforts to move toward an environmentally and socially responsible future if we knew what others are up to. The Summit opens the door to powerful collaboration, coordination, mutual support, and efficiency within the beehive that is Berkeley.

Last year, over sixty local groups, agencies, and businesses committed to sustainability principles were represented at the Summit. Add to that an influx of invested citizens and students. Attendees were engaged, enjoyed themselves, and soaked up plenty of information and contacts.

The Second Annual Sustainability Summit will feature an all-new lineup of speakers and topics--an amazing testimony to the sheer quantity of interesting sustainability efforts currently underway within Berkeley.
