The Freeze & Big City Improv (SF Improv Festival 2011)
Just off their success at TEDxSF, The Freeze is a stage show like no other. MCs and a live band take the crowd on a non-stop hip hop improv ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized musical numbers.
"One cup Beastie Boys, one cup 'Saturday Night Live,' and a pinch of P-Funk adds up to a dizzying dose of creativity" - AOL City Guide.
Big City Improv - short-form improv, fast and furious! Audience suggestions and participation figure prominently in the show, so get ready to shout our your ideas and/or join them on stage to use up 3 to 5 of your 15 minutes of fame!
Big City was originally founded as The Oakland Playhouse in 2000 by Justin Neal and Jayne Entwistle before a move to San Francisco inspired a name change. Big City Improv performs every Friday night at 10pm at the Shelton Theatre in Union Square.
