CWO Dinner Party - Night of Parisian Enchantment
CWO members and friends are hosting dinner parties in July and August! This is a great way to support one of the Bay Area's treasured institutions, while having a lot of fun getting to know some of the players in a more intimate setting. The meal choices are extremely varied, ranging from an inexpensive barbecue in Tilden Park, to a fancy French dinner prepared by a local, renowned chef. Many of the dinners include live music entertainment provided by CWO members. The chefs/hosts are all prepared to accommodate guests with special dietary restrictions. For a full list of dinner options, visit CWO's website. 100% of proceeds support programs of the Community Women's Orchestra.

CWO DINNER PARTIES is proudly sponsored, in part, by CUP CAKES FOR PARIS: http://www.cupcakesforparis.com

A FRENCH BISTRO DINNER PARTY - A NIGHT OF PARISIAN ENCHANTMENT

Hayward area

Hosted by Sandra Regan, Liz Rosas, and Mike Regan, for this night of Parisian Enchantment, we will be graced by a guest chef! Chef David Benton of Sugar Sweet SF was recently featured in Cuisine Noir magazine: http://www.cuisinenoirmag.com/theme/chef-david-benton-baking-s-hidden-gem. He's excited to help out CWO and looking forward to our event! Chef Benton is the owner of Sugar Sweet SF: http://www.sugarsweetsf.com/

Suggested attire: French Casual Chic - think jeans, turtlenecks, or striped shirts for our bistro-style evening. Feel free to add a beret, a neck scarf, envision Amelie, Edith Piaf, or Audrey Hepburn in An American in Paris!

MENU

(adaptable for special dietary restrictions)

Course I  Entrée - Que la fete commence! [Let the party begin!]

French Bread with Assorted Cheese & Fruits

Course II  Entrée

Salad Aveyronnaise  A classic warm south-western French salad with bacon, walnuts and Roquefort

Course III -Entrée

Petite mushrooms, asparagus, & gruyere quiches

Course IV - Plat Principal

Boeuf Bourguignon - Less of a stew and more of an event, this classic French beef bourguignon is beef stewed with aromatic vegetables, herbs and spices which are then strained off, reduced and finished with a butter-flour mixture to create a densely flavored, dark and silky sauce.

Course V - Fromage ou Dessert

French Berry Mille Feuille - Classic French dessert recipe that never fails to impress! The French name Mille Feuille, means "a thousand sheets" accurately describing this layered crispy puff pastry lined with a contrasting butter cream filling and fresh fruit. Absolutely delicious and accented with a small handmade chocolate Eiffel tower.

Drinks:

French Bordeaux N'est-ce-pas

Sauvignon Blanc

French Lemonade

Café Lattes
