Two small chamber operas will be performed under the stars in a secluded outdoor setting: the beautiful Sylvan Grove Theater on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. Purcell's baroque masterpiece featuring the famous "Dido's Lament" is paired with Holst's beautiful adaptation of the the Indian epic Savitri, two dramas filled with life, love, and death. The acclaimed Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra will be heard in its first fully-staged opera production.
