About the film: Immigration Nation! is a feature documentary film about the modern immigrant rights movement. In particular, it is the story of the struggle of Elvira Arellano, a single mother from Chicago, who fought her deportation. The film also interweaves the stories of individuals, organizations, activists and community leaders united by passion and a concern for justice. This film illustrates the opposition to the controversial HR4437 immigration bill as well as the ongoing struggle and demand for comprehensive immigration reform. Immigration Nation! es una película documental sobre el movimiento moderno de derechos de los inmigrantes. En particular, es la historia de la lucha de Elvira Arellano, una madre soltera de Chicago, que lucho contra su deportación. La pelicula tambien se entrelaza las historias de personas, organizaciones, activistas y líderes de la comunidad unida por la pasión y la preocupación por la justicia. Esta película muestra la oposición a la controvertida ley de inmigracion HR4437, así como la lucha constante y el deseo de una reforma migratoria comprensiva.
