A Concert for Peace
This concert, to be held in Frank Lloyd Wright's landmark Unity Temple, will benefit Chicago-area peace groups : Oak Park Coalition for Truth and Justice; Near West Citizens for Peace and Justice; Committee for a Just Peace In Israel and Palestine; Voices for Creative Non-Violence; and Veterans for Peace/ Iraq Veterans Against War. This evening of entertainment and community will include: a sing-along led by activist-musicians known as Guitars For Peace; original poetic and musical compositions by Young Artists for Peace; singer-songwriter Mark Dvorak; a reader's theatre presentation by Readers for Peace; and folksinger Anna Stange. Before the concert and during intermission audience members will have an opportunity to learn more about the peace groups while enjoying light refreshments.
