Singers Performance Intensive
Kitchenette Productions presents
SINGERS PERFORMANCE INTENSIVE
with coaches Lua Hadar, Linda Kosut & Barry Lloyd
August 3-5 & Aug 11-12
A 30-hour intensive covering performance technique, presentation for singers AND a how-to in marketing/publicity for professional, semi-professional and emerging performers.
Are you ...
* a musical theatre or classical singer who wants more comfort using a microphone and singing in a club style?
* a band singer wanting comfort talking to the audience?
* a cabaret/nightclub singer considering putting a solo show together?
* ready for instruction on writing your own press release and finding your PR hook?
* a singer ready to jump to the next level in your own development, no matter where you are starting from?
If any of this describes you, then this Intensive is for you!
The Intensive will give each singer the opportunity to work on several songs in a master class setting, address lyric interpretation, stage presence, mic technique, verbal intro to the song, work with instrumentalists, and "sell" the song in performance. VIDEO will be used, as desired by the vocalists. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE FEATURED in a PUBLIC SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE on Sunday, August 12 at 7 pm, to which family, friends, and associates are cordially invited.
Additionally, 3 seminars will be included in the intensive:
1. How to Move From Where You Are Now to Where You Want to Be, Presented by Nancy Tierney, professional singer and a confidence coach who teaches people how to have complete confidence, creative freedom and tons of fun any time they are performing in public. 2-hour seminar includes topics ranging from your internal work to creating a publicity platform for your marketing.
2. Polishing Your Act: Taught by America's Got Talent semi-finalist Shawn Ryan. You will also receive a FREE TICKET to Shawn's upcoming blockbuster show at The Herbst Theater (Aug.24)
3. Write your press release and media contact: Lua Hadar & Linda Kosut will walk you through the process of creating the appropriate press release and how to contact/talk to the media.
