Local Food Wisdom presents Ingredients, a documentary film
American food is in a state of crisis. Health, food costs and our environment are all in jeopardy. A movement to put good food back on the table is emerging. What began 30 years ago with chefs demanding better flavor, has inspired consumers to seek relationships with nearby farmers. This is local food.
Please join us for a screening of this new documentary, presented by Jim Javenkoski, founder of Local Food Wisdom. During the film, our guests will enjoy a four-course Locavore Dinner prepared and served by Pure Kitchen Catering. Following the food and film, Jim will moderate a brief Q&A session with guest farmers and chefs, who will offer their insights and perspectives on Chicago's burgeoning local food system. Attendees will have an opportunity to purchase a discounted copy of the Ingredients DVD for $20.
