23 Feet in 12 Minutes
23 Feet in 12 Minutes is a one-woman tour-de-force that follows eight New Orleanians whose lives were irrevocably changed by Hurricane Katrina. Their raw and poignant stories are based on over 60 interviews conducted with Katrina survivors and New Orleans transplants between 2006 and 2010. The show, written by Mari Brown, stars Deanna Pacelli, who received the Excellence in Performance Award at the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival.
"23 Feet in 12 Minutes should be sent to every school, seen by as many people as possible, it should be performed on street corners. This is heartbreaking dramaturgy. Go see this play." -- Montserrat Mendez, NYTheatre.com
"Critic's Pick. A dynamic hour of theater." -- David Sheward, Back Stage
"23 Feet in 12 Minutes is not just about tragedy and survival; it also explores the unique spirit that defines both New Orleans and its residents." -- Meredith Lee, TheaterMania
