Marcus Miller's work with Miles Davis in the '80s alone is enough to ensure the two-time Grammy award-winner's place in the pantheon of jazz. But far from resting on his laurels, Miller, a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, went on to pursue a successful solo career while continuing to collaborate with an incredibly diverse range of performers from Sinatra to Snoop Dogg. Aside from projects with Eric Clapton, Wayne Shorter, Chaka Khan, and George Benson, Miller has also composed soundtracks for over twenty films. His latest recording Afrodeezia, inspired by a trip to Senegal, pays tribute to his African ancestry. UNESCO recently named Miller an Artist for Peace.
