Two Sides Sounding: Composers at the Keys
New music ensemble TWO SIDES SOUNDING presents COMPOSERS AT THE KEYS, an evening of new vocal works featuring composers at the piano performing their own selections with soprano Eleanor Taylor. The concert includes performances and music by composers Tom Cipullo, Michael Djupstrom, Rachel Peters, Michael Rose and Stefan Weisman. Highlights of the program include the world premiere of "Kyrie" for voice, cello and piano by Michael Rose, as well as the premiere of excerpts from Rachel Peters' theatrical cantata "Canon I", a woman's revelations after an office party goes awry and a photocopier becomes a deadly weapon.
