My Heart is an Idiot is a romantic documentary that captures the manic roadtripping lifestyle of Davy Rothbart (FOUND Magazine, This American Life) as he searches for love in over a hundred cities, with comic and surprising results.

My Heart is an Idiot represents David Meiklejohnʼs feature-length directorial debut. He has co-directed two documentaries about Chicago punk band Rise Against, and various short documentaries and music videos. A writer, instructor, and video installation artist, he lives and works in Portland, Maine.

Davy Rothbart is the creator of FOUND Magazine, a frequent contributor to public radio's This American Life, and author of the story collection The Lone Surfer of Montana, Kansas. He writes regularly for GQ and The Believer, and his
work has also been featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and High Times. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
