Told in two-acts by a culturally-diverse cast, what began as a self-published idea evolved into the first African-American lesbian play to be performed Off-Broadway. Boasting the slogan, "It's about life...not lifestyles", this edge of your seat production incorporates dramatic and comedic performances to educate through entertainment as a crew of visually enticing actresses portray and address labels, issues, and stereotypes universal to every type of relationship. From runaway youth, love and religious controversies to domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, safe-sex messages, and affairs in the workplace, these topics and more are presented in a thought-provoking manner.
From patrons who have seen it, the responses have been rave. "This production is so powerful that the quiet is loud." "You'll laugh; you'll cry; you'll leave enlightened. Laurinda gets you." "The actors are professional, realistic, and just plain wonderful!"
