The Business of Art and Design with PRS Guitars
Paul Reed Smith, founder of PRS Guitars, and Paul Miles, Director of Private Stock and MICA 1991 MFA Illustration alumni, will deliver a keynote talk about their experiences as innovative artists and creative entrepreneurs in the guitar world. Both Mr. Smith and Mr. Miles have traveled the world and worked with artists including Carlos Santana, Orianthi, and Mark Tremonti to "not only to create the most beautiful and best playing guitar money can buy, but the best sounding." (Paul Reed Smith) Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions, and Mr. Smith and Mr. Miles will be available for signings following the talk. This event is sponsored by MICA's Master of Professional Studies in the Business of Art and Design program. A portion of the proceeds will be donated on behalf of PRS Guitars to Johns Hopkins Medicine Living with Cancer Resource Program.
