South Sound Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting
Please join us on April 11, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Heritage Room at Capitol Lake in Olympia for the South Sound Farm-to-Table Trade Meeting!

Cost is $10 and includes a locally sourced lunch.  Register by April 1 (if after April 1, please contact sarah@cascadeharvest.org)

Who? Farmers, fishers, buyers, local food processors,
vintners, brewers, chefs, bakers, restaurateurs, grocers,
and school, hospital, or nursing home food service representatives.

Focus areas? Connecting producers and buyers as well as looking at how to increase access points for local products, culinary agritourism, farm to school and institutional buying efforts, and what products retailers, consumers, and chefs are seeking.

Drawing tourists and locals alike out to farms and into local establishments, connecting more chefs with local products, and taking a look at sample tour itineraries for Thurston County from Savor Washington

There will also be displays by Salmon Safe, Food Hub, NW Farm Credit Services, Enterprise for Equity, Thurston County Food Bank, Tumwater Farmers Market, and more.

This event is sponsored and hosted by Cascade Harvest Coalition, WSDA Small Farm and Direct Marketing, USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, WSDA Farm-to-School Program, and WSU Extension.

Parking? Parking is available on street in front of Heritage Room, but is metered (bring coins and we will have some at registration desk). Or you may park in the lot at the Governor Hotel, a block away, cost is $3 for the whole day http://www.olywagov.com/maps_directions/.
