Pro Musica Corporation presents an extraordinary evening of great music at this outdoor concert on July 10th. Travel through time with the Platters and Clyde McPhatter's Drifters as they remind us of the many great hits of our past.
The first outdoor concert to be held at Snug Harbor in a long time, "A Midsummer Music Night" signals the return of engaging musical presentations in this venue.
"A Midsummer Music Night" premieres on the newly restored bandstand in the South Meadow. Gates open at 7 p.m.; concert starts at 8 p.m. Bring a chair and a blanket and perhaps a summer eve's picnic.
Tom Cintula & The Buffalo 24, composed of local professional musicians - all alumni of Wagner College, is the opening act. The evening will be MC'd by Staten Island legend Al Lambert.
Pro Musica Corporation is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to bring culture and music education to the local community. It has been located at Snug Harbor since 2000.
Proceeds will purchase musical instruments for school bands.
