SUSQUEHANNA RIVER VALLEY CELTIC WEEKEND "A Night in Ireland" CelticVariety Show
Saturday, March 12, Northumberland, PA (5-10 pm)-- Fourth annual "A Night in Ireland" Celtic variety show features two bands -- Black Bear Crossing with extraordinary fiddler, Katie Brosky; Celtica Band with guest vocalist, Abbi Parker; Moyer Institute of Dance, Irish High Step Dancers; Irish Soloist, Lester O'Hirsh; and a Youth Fiddle Contest.
This single event ticket purchase for March 12 includes the two bands, soloist, fiddle contest, dancers and Irish Buffet for one price. Doors open at 4:30. Buffet is from 5-7. Bands and fiddlers on stage from 7-10 pm. This Saturday evening event is part of the weekend regional event -- Susquehanna River Valley Celtic Weekend -- celebrating Celtic heritage in the Susquehanna River Valley with three days of performances, workshops, demonstrations, and tastings of all things Celtic from March 11-13. Live music with Lux Bridge and Callanish and a dessert bar Friday night March 11 at Puirseil's Pub in Lewisburg; stories, performance by balladeer Bob Michel, and a movie Saturday afternoon March 12 at Puirseil's Pub in Lewisburg; live music and dance with Lester O'Hirsh, Black Bear Crossing, Celtica, Moyer Institute of Dance Irish Highsteppers and an Irish fiddle contest accompanied by an Irish buffet on Saturday night March 12 in Northumberland at Front Street Station; and an Irish brunch and whiskey tasting on Sunday afternoon March 13 at Puirseil's Irish Pub, in Lewisburg.
