Story Song
In this two-day workshop participants will be introduced to various styles of
traditional and non-traditional storytelling. We will explore story material through images, poetry, songs, theater games, vocal exercises and group collaborations that will be used to create individual and group stories. This workshop is designed to be fun, open, and encouraging for all participants to share their stories and discover how stories create community as we stir the Storyteller that lives within us all. Come with an open mind and heart and be prepared to listen to and share what
connects us allour stories!
Mitch Barrett started "telling" professionally over 20 years ago performing in schools across Kentucky and throughout the South. He is an award-winning songwriter, storyteller and musician, winning songwriting competitions at Merlefest, Kerrville, and Telluride. www.mitchbarrettmusic.com
Bob Martin trained professionally as a stage and screen actor and continues to produce, direct, write and perform original stories in schools, theaters, and festivals. He specializes in the developing field of Digital Storytelling, utilizing his background in alternative styles of theater, hip-hop and oral history to create original media. He currently
