BINKA and SVETLANA'S JOURNEY at South East European Film Festival

Double bill from Bulgaria: one, BINKA, directed by Elka Nikolova, is a documentary about controversial film director from the 50's and 60's, Binka Zhelyazkova who examined human rights, artistic freedom and the legitimacy of the political system itself in her films. The other, SVETLANA'S JOURNEY, directed by American Michael Cory Davis, is based on a true story, and reveals atrocities of child slave trade, one of the most painful aspects of the human trafficking.
