Blackbird by David Harrower debuted in 2005 at the Edinburgh International Festival before moving to London's West End and winning the Laurence Olivier Award for best new play.
It went on to play in Stockholm, New Delhi, Bangalore, Prague, Tokyo, Mexico City, Montreal, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, and now makes it's Kansas City debut at The Living Room.
Two people who once had a passionate affair meet again fifteen years later. Ray is confronted with his past when Una arrives unannounced at his office. Guilt, rage and raw emotions run high as they recollect their relationship. Without any moral judgments, the play never shies away from the brutal shattering truth of an abandoned and unconventional love.
