Snohomish County Music Teachers Association Annual Concerto Concert
Enjoy some of the most talented young musicians in Snohomish County during this concert. 6 students of members of Snohomish County Music Teachers Association will captivate you as they play movements from concertos composed by such greats as Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Rachmaninov. George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" will also be performed. Students range in age from 7 to 17. Each student earned the honor to play in this concert by competing against other SCMTA students in October of 2010. Both the piano and violin will be featured solo instruments. The "Starry Night Chamber Orchestra", conducted by Sharyn Peterson, will acommpany. If you haven't yet visited the newly renovated Community Performing Arts Theater in the Everett Mall, do avail yourself of this opportunity to view this wonderful addition to our greater Everett community and to support the arts in Snohomish County. The doors open to the foyer at 2:15. The concert begins at 3 PM and will last approximately 1 1/2 hours including an intermission. A reception for all attendees follows the performance.
