Vermicomposting Workshop
Learn how to build your own worm composting bin during our free spring gardening workshop!
Worms get a bad rap, but they are actually vital to our food system. They transform the soil and leave behind the best natural fertilizer around. But if you live in the city, finding a place to have worms and/or a compost pile can be difficult. Worm boxes take up very little space, can be used indoors and provide excellent compost for your vegetable or house plants. In this workshop, we will learn how to make and use worm composting boxes.
Learn the science and structure behind vermicomposting! Get excited about worms as Hillary of Sacred Roots leads a workshop on how to start and maintain vermicomposting for your garden. Once set up, your garden will grow exponentially with the help of worms, who decompose organic waste to create a nutrient rich, heterogeneous compost mixture.
