HAG: The Story of the Hassidic Actors Guild
A hybrid of fact and fiction (a mocdoc) about my life in Hollywood as an actor and/or consultant in numerous Hollywood productions including The Chosen, Stranger Among Us, A Price above Rubies and the now indie classic Pi for which I also served as one of the producers.
Invariably, however Izzi becomes embroiled in numerous conflicts and controversies, not only in the entertainment industry but in the Jewish Community as well--leading to his excommunication.To undo the ban--and the surprise ending--izzi appears on national tv and performs a rather strikingly graphic act of Repentance.
Oh, yes, there is a happy ending: In exchange for not working any further in Hollywood, the Rabbis allow Izzi to continue performing--but only as a wedding singer.
