Event
Robbie Fulks & Don Stiernberg with The High 48s
On Friday, May 8, 2015 the award-winning Twin Cities-based bluegrass band The High 48s will host alt-country legend Robbie Fulks and world-renowned jazz mandolinist Don Stiernberg for the second year in a row at the O'Shaughnessy Education Center Auditorium on the campus of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
"We had such a blast with Robbie and Don last year, the response from the [200+] people that showed up was so over the top, we decided we might have the makings of an annual tradition," says The High 48s' fiddler Eric Christopher.
The concert will feature an eclectic cross-section of some of the finest contemporary Americana music being played today, from folk and alt-country to acoustic jazz and modern bluegrass. The High 48s will play back-to-back sets with Fulks and Stiernberg, who will close the evening with a duo performance of originals and classic bluegrass "brother" duets.
