Taste the World in OTR-Spring, 2015
Taste the World in OTR is a 2-3 hour walking tour through the diverse, urban neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine, commonly called "OTR" by Cincinnati natives. Your guide will lead you on a casual stroll as you discover restaurants, bars, bakeries, and cafes in the midst of a community highlighted by 19th century architecture. The walking tour covers approximately 2 miles, but we allow ample time to sit and enjoy five food samples along the way. In addition to the food, we will introduce you to the history, culture, and people that make Over-the-Rhine unique.
OTR is one of the largest intact historic districts in the United States. Its population offers a mix of poverty and prosperity and the neighborhood is a world where tradition meets progress. Over-the-Rhine's renaissance is an example of one of the best urban success stories in the country.
Tour begins and ends at Daisy Mae's at Findlay Market where public parking is available for a small fee. Your ticket includes five food samples and bottled water for each guest. If desired, guests may purchase additional drinks at each stop along the way. Sample sizes vary, but most people do not need to eat again right after the tour. Tour operates rain or shine, but in case of dangerous weather or torrential downpours, we reserve the right to cancel with full refund. Sorry, but we do not accommodate allergies at this time.
