Aperghis's mind blowing theatrical solo percussion piece "Le Corps a Corps" is paired with Romitelli's raw psychedelic electric guitar solo "Trash TV Trance" . Kobe and Dennis join forces in two pieces by Christian Wolff and Stuart Saunders Smith, exploring the sound possibilities of the combination of both instruments. Not to be missed!!
Program:
Christian Wolff "For 1, 2 or 3 People"
Georges Aperghis "Le Corps a Corps" (solo percussion)
Fausto Romitelli "Trash TV Trance" (solo-electric guitar
Stuart Saunders Smith "Here and There"
About Ear Heart Music
Ear Heart Music is where New Yorkers can get their aural fix. Featuring some of New Yorks most cutting edge performers, composers and programming, this is a modern chamber music series presented to an intimate crowd. We believe that audiences want to be engaged not simply entertained by the music they go out to hear. We nurture our listeners by presenting repertoire that is challenging yet relevant, and by providing context for our work. Ear Heart Music:Makers opens discussions about the art-music of now taking the work of interviewed composers as a starting point. These events also include live performance. http://bit.ly/earheart
