Richie Panic
San Francisco-based DJ and prolific remixer Richie Panic has single handedly changed the face and sound of the Bay Area music scene and beyond. This sought-after sonic powerhouse is best known for co-launching the now legendary and debauchery-filled dance party Frisco Disco in a seedy downtown bar. What once began as a hipster hotspot, Richie Panic's Frisco Disco transformed into a must-visit, banger-centric destination where ground breaking electro outfits like 2ManyDJs, Death From Above 1979, and the Rapture were introduced to the music populous.
In response to a higher demand for his sonic mastery, Richic Panic retired Frisco Disco and helped to create the electro mega-party Blow Up, where he served as the resident DJ. With a sharp intuitive sense of how to please a dance-hungry crowd and the charisma to serve as the party ambassador of the Bay Area, Richie Panic's Blow Up quickly became the most influential club night in San Francisco. Frequently booked as a headline act on both US and European tours for groups like Justice, Stretch Armstrong, Junior Sanchez, Erol Alkan, MSTRKRFT, Panic has established himself as a major player alongside his superstar DJ friends like LA Riots, Designer Drugs, AC Slater, Drop the Lime, Flostradamus, Congorock, and Steve Aoki. Now making his mark as a remixer extraordinaire, Richie Panic's knob twisting is continually featured on well-respected blogs, proving that he is a musical force to be reckoned with.
