This is your special invitation to a sneak peek of Storm Surge.
Storm Surge is a documentary film which tells uncensored stories from people in the Gulf Coast and how they are recovering in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the Great Recession, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Disaster, and the lack of corporate and government accountability and oversight with the recovery efforts.
You'll hear frank and candid stories of mistreatment, fraud and corruption from shrimp fishermen, teachers, bar owners, businessmen, non-profit executive, members of the Coast Guard and people on the street. You'll also hear heroic stories of people risking their lives to save their pets and family heirlooms amid rising storm waters.
Live music provided by DJ RAZPY (Solomon Simone) and DJ Trell (Montrel Dickerson), two aspiring hip hop artists, who helped shoot and produce the film.
