Midnight Radio: War of the Worlds

For our 2010 Midnight Radio season finale, Bricolage recreates the Mercury Theater's classic end-of-the-world radio play - with a Pittsburgh spin.

War of the Worlds was written by H. G. Wells and adapted for radio by Howard W. Koch. It was broadcast on October 30, 1938, creating widespread panic among listeners, many of whom actually believed the US was under attack by martian invaders.
